What about our Services?
We desire that all Ministries called to use the platform of golf for evangelism and discipleship would be in unity regarding this vision. Also, that communication and coordination between these Ministries would take place and in a more dynamic way through the use of an agreed-upon format and media in order to maintain very close coordination and communication as we go forward evangelizing and discipling all golfers throughout the earth.
As Christ-followers we are all called to "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matt 28:19-20.
This is a universal commission and calling to all Christ-followers. Many translate the word, "Go" in this context to mean; "as you go" and in this regard we believe that if we have a passion for a vocation or avocation that "as you go" about working or recreating in your life that we must make disciples, teach them as the Lord is "with (us) always" s we go about His work.
This is what GFtH is commissioned to do. I believe that golf is the field, ready and, that golfers of all ages and abilities can be considered as "ripe for the harvest". ("I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." John 4:35.)
We have been about the work of engaging and connecting ministries and individuals who have a passion for golf and an interest in learning more about the truths of life. I was fortunate to start an outreach ministry with Bobby Clampett serving golfers with the presentations of PGA Tour Players who identified themselves as Christ-Followers. This outreach was called "The Players Outreach Ministry". During that same time I developed a golf fundraising company called Kingdom Corporate Golf, helping raise funds for non-profits. In 2012, I started www.HisKingdom.golf which disseminated golf news and news about ministries and players who were serious about their faith. His Kingdom Golf also included golf tournament consulting, an eNewsletter and outreach through many of the Social Media platforms.
Now, mainly, we have been working on www.GolfFromtheHeart.golf which has two major goals; to evangelize & disciple golfers and serve ministries with golf as a platform in order to bring unity and cooperation among those ministries to serve the Kingdom of God.h
