About Golf From the Heart (GFTH)
Our Intention is to be a connector for golfers; TranSforming Them every day around the world.
Our mission
What is it that we are all about? That all golfers would hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that they would be discipled in some way relative to their faith in Christ for the continuing work of the Kingdom in fellowship with other golfers who click with them demographically and geographically.
.
We have become familiar with most of the ministries using golf as a platform and our desire is to draw golfers into this site & the associated social media accounts. In this way we will get to know each other better, and, hopefully, connect each golfer to the appropriate community on our site. This will lead, as well, to handing them off to the ministry that uses golf as a platform to continue to serve them and build their life in Christ. For a list of those ministries, click here.
When a golfer visits our GFtH community page, we encourage them to find their community whether it is Men Between the Ages of 22 - 60 or PGA Golf Professionals or any of the others, see the value in the community, request to join and participate, then build relationships within their community that they may fellowship online as well as in their local golf community.
GFtH will provide the online community, encourage growth in the golf game of the community members and in their faith in Jesus Christ. Once the community has many members, GFtH will help organize the community, train the facilitators and work in any direction necessary for the continued maturity of the community in the game and in LIFE.
What might that look like? A PGA Golf Professional from the North Carolina Section clicks on the PGA Golf Professional Community link, reads the information and requests to join. The Pro receives an email with his code to enter the community. He signs in and joins the others from his Section or, if there are not many, he can send the link to some of his friends in the Section to join as well. Once there are four or five Pro's from the Section who have joined that community, GFtH reaches out to the members and begins to guide them into the building of their fellowship. They may want to have guidance on how to Disciple each other. GFtH has a Golfing to Greatness Discipleship Program they can engage in for weekly Discipleship training. They may want to engage in a Facebook fellowship. GFtH releases the "Sectional" GFtH Facebook Group to the group for regular interaction within the community in order for the community to become closer and more familiar with each others' work and family life. They may want to conduct Facebook Live sessions together for professional development or whatever purpose they may decide. Eventually, the Sectional site is given over to the group with a facilitator or two and they determine the direction the community may go. Additionally, they can organize training sessions, live or video training or on golf course gatherings to encourage and support each other. Basically, the site and the related social media becomes their communication and coordination environment.
This is how we will engage with each member of each community in order to foster comradery, growth and maturity in the life of the Believer/Golfer.

TO GO -
As Christ-followers we are all called to "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matt 28:19-20.
This is a universal commission and calling to all Christ-followers. Many translate the word, "Go" in this context to mean; "as you go" and in this regard we believe that if we have a passion for a vocation or avocation that "as you go" about working or recreating in your life that we must make disciples, teach them as the Lord is "with (us) always" s we go about His work.
This is what GFtH is commissioned to do. I believe that golf is the field, ready and, that golfers of all ages and abilities can be considered as "ripe for the harvest". ("I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." John 4:35.)

In regard to the great commission above. we have seen that there are ministries using the game of golf as a vehicle to reach out to every age group. Are they youngsters who are just getting interested in the game? Then their parents are the teachers in life and golf, yet, if they need or are 'seeking' a more advanced teacher in the game, they turn to a PGA Golf Professional in their local area. Well, we have become familiar with many men and women within the various sections of the PGA of America who are excellent golf instructors who are also focused on growing in their spiritual life as they are Christ-followers themselves. These young golfer 'seekers' and their parents may be looking for a golf instructor who is a Christ-follower who may grow the game of golf in their child and encourage them in their walk as a Christ-follower. We have a community for PGA of America Golf Professionals & instructors inside of GolfFromtheHeart.golf and will be further developing the community as we become more and more familiar with PGA Golf Professionals with this heart.
I've been observing ministries in golf and believe, if asked, that we can engage with them as a ministerial consultant for matters of organizational need, marketing, business and ministerial planning.
TO SERVE -
Most organizations that use the game of golf as a Christ-follower outreach to serve & mentor aspiring and seasoned golfers are organized as non-profits without the resources nor expertise necessary to market, promote and engage with those they are attempting to serve; their Target Market.
Additionally, these organizations may not be able to attract and engage with their Target Market in light of the tools available through online and traditional marketing. This is a problem that can be solved by engaging with GFtH and partnering with us to promote, recruit, engage and develop relationships with the Target Market; mentoring and guiding them in their golf game and in their lives.

We are available to observe, evaluate and engage with any ministry using golf as a platform to improve efficiency, connection and communication for the Lord's glory.
We have helped a few ministries up to this point by, for instance, observing and consulting with the FCA Golf ministry and, after numerous discussions, recommended a plan to assist communities where Gameday is conducted. The objective was how to continue to mentor the youngsters attending Gameday and invite them to engage further with people and programs that can continue to develop the golf game and game of life for these young golfers.
