During all of the time that I was helping develop and manage The Players Outreach Ministry (TPOM), I was expanding the scope of Kingdom Corporate Golf (KCG) by joining with an organization called ProFund.

ProFund was a fundraising company which used a golf-a-thon format to raise significantly larger amounts of money for charitable groups than the traditional golf event fundraiser. I became the Northeast Representative for ProFund and KCG became ProFund Northeast. Unfortunately, the second portion of the mission of KCG; to have Christian Professional Golfers minister to FCA and youth groups at KCG events, faded away, but, now, retrospectively, the work with TPOM was preparing me for the call the Lord had previously given to "be an agent for Christian golfers" .

ProFund NorthEast was very effective. We conducted some 100+ events and raised an average of $26,000 per first time events with the best event raising $89,000; a pregnancy center in NJ. I wanted to expand the business by recruiting more helpers and establishing agencies in population centers in the northeast. I recruited a fella in Massachusetts and another in Washington DC, but, for some reason it was difficult to keep the events going and train up new associates. In 1997, a difficult interaction between myself and the President of Profund when he accused me of not reporting funds, (which had no substance in fact, whatever). This caused me to consider leaving ProFund and starting my own company called The Golf Fundraising Company. I had over 30 events contracted with ProFund for the 1997 season, but decided to leave ProFund and handed the events over to ProFund NorthEast associate Jim Shannon of Norton, MA and began The Golf Fundraising Company (TGFC) in 1997. TGFC was a golf fundraising consultation firm that incorporated the golf-a-thon as well as traditional golf event fundraising formats to offer new clients. An interesting side note; the President of Profund had the company taken into receivership by the Board of Directors in 1997 for inappropriate use of company funds.

TGFC did not do very well as I lost my vision and heart to continue it. In 1998 I shut down TGFC and pursued other occupational interests.
